British Muslims in Numbers
Since its inception in 1997, the Muslim Council of Britain has pursued data-driven approaches to understand and advocate for our diverse British Muslim communities
As part of this, the MCB was an active member of the interfaith alliance that lobbied successfully for the religion question in the Census, first appearing in 2001. This webpage presents the outcome of that effort: regular analysis of our Muslim communities through deep analysis of the Census data.
