Commenting on the acceleration of the booster vaccination drive campaign across the UK, Zara Mohammed, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain said:

“Throughout the pandemic, mosques and Muslim organisations have been at the forefront in supporting measures to tackle Covid 19. They have played a crucial role in communities that are most at risk. The Muslim Council of Britain has been encouraging the booster vaccination drive since before the Omicron strain was discovered. We’ve been creating and sharing infographics, appearing on *community media channels*, speaking to affiliates and sharing good practise at a variety of national and international conferences.

We will be hosting an online conference next week with the Greater London Assembly, the NHS and Public Health specialists to help promote the booster.”
