This data is extracted from the 2011 Census for England and Wales as well as the 2011 Scotland Census. Amongst the census questionnaire was the religion question: ‘What is your religion?’ The data was analysed in the “British Muslims in Numbers” (2015) in Section 3.3 – Geographic Distribution. Source datasets for England and Wales are Table QS208EW (2011), Table UV15 (2001) and for Scotland Table RELPS11.
