This data is extracted from the 2011 Census for England and Wales. Amongst the census questionnaire was the religion question: ‘What is your religion?’ The data was  analysed in the “British Muslims in Numbers” (2015) in Section 3.1  Populate & Place of Birth. Source data sets for England and Wales are Table DC2207EW (2011).
