This data is extracted from the 2011 Census for England and Wales. Amongst the census

questionnaire was the religion question: ‘What is your religion?’ The data has been made available

by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in ONS Table DC2201EW and has been analysed in the

MCB report, “British Muslims in Numbers” (2015) in Section 3.2 – Ethnic diversity.
