Dr Sheikh Hojjat Ramzy, from the Muslim Council of Britain, was invited to attend the ‘Ranks of Angels’, a service held at London St Paul’s Cathedral to celebrate the 85th Anniversary of the London Taxi Drivers’ Fund for Underprivileged Children.
He was invited along with leaders of world religions who performed a ceremony in celebration of the great work of this group.
Dr Ramzy said: ‘The efforts of the London Taxi Drivers’ Fund are outstanding, we need more initiatives such as this to support and care for children who are underprivileged and in need across the country and around the world.’
Also participating in the ceremony were representatives of London’s famous ‘Pearly Kings and Queens’ who also work to raise money for charities.
Dr Ramzy with Pearly Kings and Queens and Rev Canon Michael Hampel, who conducted the ceremony, and other guests of honour, inside the prestigious St Paul’s Cathedral.
