The Muslim Council of Britain expresses deep concern as families in Palestine and Lebanon continue to endure the tragic loss of loved ones due to ongoing Israeli attacks. The death toll in Gaza has now surpassed 42,000, including nearly 16,765 children. The situation remains critical, with over 97,590 injured and more than 10,000 people reported missing.

Disturbingly, reports indicate that medical staff in Gaza are being deliberately targeted, with more than 100 first responders killed since October 8, despite being clearly marked as medics. Rescue workers report that Israeli forces are aware of their locations but continue to attack them.

In Lebanon, the humanitarian crisis worsens, with over 1.2 million people displaced and more than 2,100 killed since the hostilities began in early October.

The MCB continues to underscore that peace cannot be achieved without an immediate ceasefire. We call on the international community to take urgent action to stop the violence and ensure the protection of innocent lives.
