Following the Secretary General’s call on 14th April 2016 for an independent inquiry to review allegations made about one of MCB’s affiliates, Aalami Majlise Tahaffuze Khatme Nubuwwat, also known as Stockwell Green Mosque, the MCB has now received an interim report provided by the independent panel.
Dr Shuja Shafi, MCB Secretary General, issued the following statement: “I have now received the report and am committed to reviewing and implementing the recommendations. I would like to thank the Chair, Dal Babu, and all members of the investigation panel for their excellent work in producing this report. I will await receipt of the final report before I conclude a decision. In the meantime, I will implement the recommendations provided by the panel”.
