The Muslim Council of Britain warmly congratulates all those recognised in the 2025 Honours List, with a special tribute to the outstanding individuals from Muslim and minority ethnic communities.
Zara Mohammed, Secretary General of the MCB, stated:
“We warmly congratulate all those recognised in the New Year’s Honours list for their exceptional contributions to making British society better for all. It is especially heartening to see individuals from faith and minority communities recognised for their efforts.
Notable honourees include Professor Bashir Al-Hashimi, recognised for his contributions to engineering and education, and Sadiq Khan, awarded a knighthood for over two decades of public service. As the longest-serving Mayor of London, his recognition highlights his significant efforts in improving the lives of everyday Londoners.
