The MCB congratulate our affiliates Strive UK for their fantastic Sibghah Literary Festival for Children, the first of its kind in the UK.

The event aimed to encourage and inspire young people to share their stories, noting the important and power of content, creativity and changing narratives.
Invited to inaugurate the event, MCB Secretary-General, Zara Mohammed shared a heartfelt reflection on her story of becoming the youngest and first female leader of the organiation, sharing how the story has unfolded so far and sharing a reminder with the young people; to like who they are, what they do and surround themselves with good company.

Assistant Secretary-General, Dr Shahzad Amin also joined the event, which brought leading authors together, stories from the young people and brilliant workshops encouraging creative minds.

We congratulate Strive UK on such an innovative idea and hope many will follow suit.
