The Muslim Council of Britain is saddened by the recent vandalism of menorahs during Chanukkah, reported to have taken place around North London. Such hate is unacceptable and has no place in our society.

We stand in sympathy and solidarity with Jewish communities subjected to such hate. Hundreds of our Jewish friends have joined thousands of Britons to campaign for justice for Palestinians. Our hope is that the perpetrators are caught swiftly, and together we build a society rooted in understanding and respect.
