Our Secretary General, Zara Mohammed receives an Honorary Doctorate of Law from the Glasgow Caledonian University
Our Secretary General was recently recieved an Honorary Doctorate of Law from Glasgow Caledonian University. Awarded by the University’s new Chancellor, women and technology pioneer Anne-Marie Imafidon.
Zara Mohammed was invited to speak at Glasgow Caledonian University’s first graduation ceremony addressing a large gathering of graduates, sharing her journey, insights, and words of encouragement. Her speech resonated deeply with the audience, leaving a lasting impression on the new graduates embarking on their professional paths.

Zara Mohammed remarked on the occasion:
“I thank Glasgow Caledonian University for this Honorary Doctorate Degree of Law; it is a wonderful honour and a truly special moment for me and my family who are immensely proud. I know it is also a valued recognition of British Muslim communities and the work the MCB is doing for the common good.
I was delighted to share a few words at the ceremony with over 600 graduates, I emphasised the importance of breaking barriers for change, the strength diversity brings to society and the how critical is it we have good leaders rise and do good work, this is crucial for change. I congratulate all of those graduating and wish them every success in the journey ahead.”
This award to our Secretary General was given for her efforts for women and gender equality. It reflects her contributions and the positive influence she has had on those around her.
