The MCB Secretary-General joined in Eid Al Adha celebrations at New Scotland Yard with the Metropolitan Police.

It was a truly remarkable event that celebrated the vibrant diversity present within our British communities.

Esteemed guest speakers, including former Lord Mayor Hamza Taouzzle and Chief Superintendent Jeff Boothe, reiterated the Met Police’s unwavering commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within their ranks.

Reflecting on the significance of the occasion, the MCB Secretary-General stated, “This event provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the sacred festival of Eid and contemplate the lessons from Hajj. It reminded us how we can come together, embracing our diversity and unique identities, while being united in our devotion.”

Furthermore, the Secretary-General emphasised the importance of considering the necessary changes required to ensure that our institutions genuinely serve the entire community. This can only be accomplished through fostering greater understanding and fostering strong partnerships.
