The Muslim Council of Britain has written to the Foreign Secretary to express deep alarm at the UK government’s negligent response to the ongoing killing of innocent Palestinians.
With approximately 200 children killed last week alone, the total death toll is now an estimated 60,000, with 2 million people at risk of starvation. In light of the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu and multiple accusations of genocidal intent from leading human rights organisations, the MCB has warned that continued UK arms exports, intelligence sharing, or diplomatic cover for Israel risk clear British complicity in war crimes and genocide.
The MCB has called on the Foreign Office to fulfil its legal and moral obligations and impose a number of actions, including investigation and action against British Nationals who have served in the IDF and shown to be complicit in war crimes, and a strong demand for a reinstated immediate, unconditional ceasefire in Gaza.
