The Muslim Council of Britain welcomes the UN General Assembly’s adoption of a resolution calling for an end to the Israeli occupation in light of the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in July, which declared Israel’s presence in the occupied territories unlawful.
Though non binding this is significant with 124 states in favour. It is disappointing the UK abstained.
The devastating reality now totals, 710 newborn babies, and 41,000 Palestinians known to be killed, rampant starvation and diseases, the situation is critical.
There must be an end to the violence, we need a ceasefire now.
