Course Overview

This program covers two important topics – Mosque Management which will be covered in the morning, and Strategic Visioning which will be covered in the afternoon.

~Mosque Management

In an increasingly challenging external environment, with an ever demanding community, the need for mosques and community centres to maintain high standards is as great as ever.

This session essentially looks at:

  • How to effectively run a mosque and community centre
  • Understanding one’s client constituents,
  • A community needs analysis,
  • Awareness of legal and regulatory obligations,
  • Facilities management,
  • Volunteer management,
  • Committee management
  • Team work skills

~Strategic Visioning

This topic covers ‘Visioning, Strategic Planning and Implementation’. As such the sessions will touch on:

  • How to develop your vision
  • How to devise a strategy to realize your vision
  • How to ensure the strategy is followed through to implementation
  • Conducting a stakeholder analysis
  • Conducting a PESTEL analysis
  • Overcoming obstacles to achieving your vision

 Duration

1-day / 10am – 6pm (Registration from 9.30am)

Cost

The standard training fee has been waived. However there is an administrative fee to cover for logistics, food and materials.
EARLY BIRD OFFER:

£75 (for non-affiliates) / £25 (for affiliates) if you register on eventbrite by 26th October 2014

From 27th October, eventbrite registration fee will increase to £95 (for non-affiliates) / £35 (for affiliates),

MCB affiliate representatives are requested to quote their organisation’s affiliation number when registering. If an organization agrees to become an affiliate, the reduced rates for affiliates will apply, as indicated above.
