On Saturday, October 19, the Muslim Women’s Council (MWC) hosted their ‘Daughters of Eve’ in Bradford. The conference celebrated the resilience, achievements, and leadership of Muslim women across the UK.
Our Secretary General, Zara Mohammed, featured as a speaker, sharing words of hope and unity. She reflected on the UK riots this past summer, addressing the challenges posed by anti-Muslim sentiment with a focus on the importance of community strength and action. The Secretary General’s speech also celebrated the progress of Muslim women in our communities, highlighting the leadership they continue to show in the face of adversity.

The event also featured speakers, including Imam Adam Kelwick, MP Naz Shah, broadcaster Christa Ackroyd, and Dr. Naema Al-Modallal.
We commend the MWC for yet another excellent conference, showcasing the strength and resilience of Muslim women and celebrating the progress we have achieved together. The Council’s dedication to empowering Muslim women and championing community causes continues to make a lasting impact across the UK.
