The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) is proud to announce the success of its 2024 General Election Campaign. This comprehensive initiative, aimed at empowering British Muslims and ensuring their voices were heard and actively increasing Muslim turnout in the democratic process.

For over 20 years, the MCB has been unwavering in supporting Muslim communities during general elections. This support encompasses assisting with local hustings, creating manifestos, and providing tailored support to mosques and Muslim communities. This year, we remained committed to supporting Muslim communities and mosques across the UK.

What did we do together:

  • Engaged with 150,000 impressions on our Register to vote page
  • Call centre with hundreds of organisations contacted
  • Mass text out to contact base
  • Provided support for local community hustings
  • Created resources and guides for the electoral commission
  • 250+ Candidates Pledged to support our campaign with full and part endorsement from Labour, Greens, SNP and LIB Dem and Labour
  • Built coalitions and civil society partnership, engagement with Operation Black Vote and Citizens UK

We thank all our affiliates, partners and supporters for helping us achieve amazing impact in this General Election.

We look forward to pushing for positive change for British Muslims on our policy asks with the new government.
