On Thursday 1st December 2016, the Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain, Harun Khan, addressed an audience of Government, Transport, Intelligence, Defence, Law Enforcement, Emergency Services, CNI, the Private Sector and Cyber Security at the UK Security Expo in London Olympia.
He was asked to speak on ‘Fostering Community Cohesion and Countering Terrorism’, which included talking about the effectiveness of the current strategy on responding to the challenges of extremism and possible alternative mechanisms , as well as the role the community should play in counter extremism measures.
