Our Assistant Secretary-General, Dr Shahzad Amin attended the National Burial Council’s 9th Annual Conference in Leicester.
The Conference featured an outstanding lineup of speakers and workshops, attendees engaged in valuable discussions on topics critical to burial practices, particularly relevant to the Muslim community.

A key highlight was the session focused on the role of medical examiners and recent changes to the death certification process in the UK. This timely discussion provided crucial insights into how these changes will impact the certification and management of deaths moving forward.
The event was well-organised and showcased the Council’s commitment to addressing important issues within burial and funeral services for Muslims.
