The system includes a 'Role Competency & Training Matrix' to manage risk-based requirements (e.g., DSL, SENCO, EYFS), a specific 'Volunteer Educator Pathway' for non-employed staff, and mandatory induction modules before unsupervised delivery.
Assessment Questions
- Does the CPD policy explicitly define qualifying activities, verification rules, and separate targets for volunteers vs. employees?
- Is there a 'Role Competency & Training Matrix' that tracks Safeguarding, Prevent, Online Safety, and EDI status by role?
- Can you demonstrate that induction CPD is verified before any unsupervised contact with learners?
- Do PDPs include a 'Niyyah & Service Intention' field, and are they reviewed annually?
- How is the impact of CPD evidenced beyond attendance (e.g., reflection logs, observation rubrics, artefacts)?
- Does the Board/Trustees receive a termly L&D dashboard highlighting compliance risks and corrective actions?
- Are CPD records included in the RoPA, and are Data Processing Agreements in place for any external LMS?
