Trustees must ensure activities further the charity’s objects and provide demonstrable public benefit, with any private benefit being incidental.

Assessment Questions
  1. Show the event run-sheet and describe the facilitated networking method used (e.g., roundtables, matchmaking).
  2. What is your follow-up mechanism at 30/90 days to capture collaborations or mentorship outcomes? Provide evidence from the last 2 cycles.
  3. Provide the 'Ethical Code of Networking' and the Conflict of Interest (COI) declarations for recent speakers/sponsors.
  4. How does the organization ensure accessibility and inclusion (e.g., reasonable adjustments, diverse promotion)? Provide the event risk assessment and accessibility plan.
  5. Who is the designated 'Hisbah/Integrity Lead' and what is the published route for reporting ethical concerns or harassment?

  • Impact reports showing tracked metrics: NPS, number of connections, and documented collaborations/mentorships.
