Taraweeh Excellence: Qira'ah, Tadabbur, Accessibility & Safety

This criterion evaluates the holistic quality, safety, and impact of Taraweeh prayers and Ramadan programs. It integrates spiritual excellence (Ihsan) in Quranic recitation (Qira'ah) and reflection (Tadabbur) with rigorous operational governance. It mandates verified Imam qualifications, calibrated audio quality, and a structured learning curriculum. Crucially, it enforces 'preservation of life' and inclusivity through strict safety protocols (fire/crowd management), safeguarding for children, and proactive accessibility measures (Reasonable Adjustments) for women, elders, and the disabled. It also assesses the organization's responsibility towards neighbors (noise/parking) and the environment (waste/energy), ensuring the spiritual season strengthens community cohesion and minimizes harm.

Assessment Questions
  1. Does the organization hold a verified qualification/Ijazah copy for the Imam and a written agreement on recitation standards?
  2. Can you produce the nightly 'Audio Check Log' and the 'Steward Briefing Log' for the last Ramadan?
  3. Show the 'Reasonable Adjustments Log' and the most recent Accessibility Audit. How were requests handled?
  4. If childcare is provided, demonstrate the safeguarding operating model (DSL, DBS records, sign-in sheets).
  5. What is the specific plan for Tadabbur (frequency, content, language) and how is its impact measured?
  6. Provide the Fire Risk Assessment specifically covering Ramadan evening occupancy and layout.
  7. How are neighbor relations managed? Show the complaint log and evidence of advance engagement (letters/marshals).
  8. Show the Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) and privacy signage regarding live streaming.
  9. What environmental measures are in place regarding waste and energy during Ramadan?
Evidence Requirements
  • Imam Vetting Checklist (Copy of Ijazah/Assessment, References, Agreement).
