The Amana Association was established in 2006 by UK based followers of the Qadiri Boutchichi Tariqa (“the Tariqa”), a Sufi order in the tradition of the religion of Islam, originating in Morocco. The Tariqa, which is best described as community of spiritual education, has branches in many parts of the world, including Europe and the USA. Examples of its activities can also be seen in the US atwww.sidihamza.us. The Amana Association was registered as a Charity in 2010 under charity number 1139140
