Inclusive access (women & youth)

Evaluates the proactive design of educational programs to ensure full, equitable access for women and youth. Upholding ʿAdl and Musāwāt in this way is vital for excellence, as it empowers key community segments, nurtures future leaders, and secures the organization's long-term vitality. This includes equitable resourcing (venue quality, teacher calibre, budget) for women's provision, not just ad-hoc access.

Level 1: Initial/Ad-hoc

Reactive & Ad-Hoc: Educational programs are designed with a default audience in mind. Access for women and youth is accommodated only upon specific request, with no formal provisions or dedicated resources.

Level 2: Developing

Aware & Basic: The organization acknowledges the need for inclusive access. Separate or modified programs for women and youth exist, but they may be inconsistent in quality, timing, or resources compared to primary offerings. Safeguarding is basic.

Level 3: Established

Established & Intentional: Formal policies for inclusive access are in place, including GDPR-compliant data collection and robust safeguarding (DBS, training). Programs are intentionally designed with considerations for women and youth. Feedback is systematically collected.

Level 4: Advanced

Proactive & Integrated: Women and youth are actively involved in the co-design (via Advisory Councils) and delivery of programs. Data on participation and impact is used to continuously identify and remove barriers. EIA and DPIA are standard practice.

Level 5: Optimizing

Exemplary & Transformative: Inclusive access is deeply embedded in the organization's culture. The organization is a recognized leader, mentoring others and demonstrably contributing to the development of female and youth leaders (≥5% progression) in the wider community.
